Hillary Clinton has been asked by the Washington Post, if she thinks she is the right person to be considered for the position of President of the United States in the year 2021. The question in essence is whether or not she is a “personable” enough candidate to be considered. Can someone with such straight forward and unyielding political views to be considered a great or good candidate? In other words can we trust the woman that clearly doesn't like people that make mistakes?
Hillary has had her share of missteps over her lifetime. The momentary slip ups have been forgivable. The more troubling incidents however, are the policies and the statements she has made regarding class warfare, socialism, racism, sexism, and anti-Americanism. Can a person with such a resume and platform believe in those things? At what point does a person with such a past find themselves beyond the pale?
If Hillary Clinton is going to run for President in the next two years, she better realize that we cannot wait forever. We need a strong leader now and she will not find that sitting behind the desk in the White House. History will judge her on her current and future actions. Are you a good person? If not, then perhaps you should think about it.
A person with such beliefs and behaviors does not deserve to lead the Free World. We deserve better. So, why is she still running? Is she too afraid to drop her own personal standards and beliefs? Why would anyone be afraid to step aside and let someone else do the task?
The United States of America is perhaps at its greatest stage in its history. What is our success compared to the rest of the world? Are we up to the task? If not, then are we at least on the road to becoming a first rate power house in the first world?
Regardless, if Hillary Clinton believes she can win the democratic nomination, she has clearly thrown in the towel. She has put the Democratic Party in a deep hole and now she hopes that she can win the general election and become our next president. Will she actually win? Only time will tell.
Does Senator Obama has any chance of catching up to her in the delegate count? I doubt it. Why? He has been playing games all the way through this primary election. He has done a lot of political “dirty tricks”, but he is not a true leader and has not inspired much confidence among the voters.
If Hillary Clinton is nominated, she will become the unchallenged front-runner and the Democratic Party will have lost its credibility and taken a huge step toward the political wilderness. We need new leadership. The American public is tired of being pushed around by the media and we don't need that. We need a new generation of leadership and that starts with Hillary Clinton.
